A Study on tensile characteristics of Laser scored hard IP PAB tear seam |

This paper deals with tensile characteristics for the plastic used in a Laser scored hard IP PAB tear seam. Tensile tests for three kinds of scoring patterns used for laser scored hard ip pab tear seam were performed varying temperature and strain rates, and the true stress-true strain relation were obtained for each cases. The effects of the strain rates and temperatures on the tensile properties are discussed. The mechanical properties obtained from this research will be useful to estimate the airbag deployment accurately in engineering sense. To verify the stress-strain relation at static condition, pab opening force tests were performed for pab door part and the result were compare with those of the finite element analysis |
