In this study, silver ion containing polymer was synthesized by AgMA monomer and Methyl Methacrylate. The AgMA monomers were made by substituting silver nitrate and sodium methacrylate. Ag ion in polymer is reduced by irradiation with e-beam to show electrical characteristics. In order to improve the electrical properties, a high content of Ag ions is first required. So, the ratio of AgMA monomer to MMA was controlled. Also, a small amount of graphite is added to increase the conductivity. Appropriate solvents should be selected for dispersion and affinity of the polymer and graphite. After solvent test, the synthesized polymer will be inked for screen printing. Furthermore, It can be applied to a wide range of applications such as flexible sensors, heaters and electrodes. |
