Honeycomb-structured microporous films were self-assembled from a 8-arm polystyrene-block-poly(tert-butylacrylate) of multiarm polymer. Fabrication of highly regular honeycomb-patterned films by breath figure method is made from different polymer substrates. The honeycomb pattern is formed by solvent evaporation under the high humidity, and their pore size is tunable by controlling the conditions, such as air speed, type of solvent, polymer concentration and casting substrate. In addition, the humidity, temperature and thickness of prepared polymer solution exhibit great importance in the formation of the uniform honeycomb structure on surface. The water contact angle on the polymer substrate indicated the hydrophilicity or the hydrophobicity of the surface. |
