제목 Core-stabilized polymeric micelles by UV-photopolymerization
초록 Poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)-b-Poly(phenylalanine) copolymer has been synthesized and characterized. Polypeptide-based polymeric micelle has intensively been investigated as a drug delivery system not only because of its nanoscopic size also because of stability in human body. Although polymeric micelle show relatively slow dissociation behavior even below critical micelle concentration, it still needs to be stabilized. Upon intravenous injection polymeric micelle is faced to severe dilution condition and consequently the incorporated drug is precipitated in blood provoking harmful side effects. In this study the core of polymeric micelle is stabilized through UV-photopolymerization of polymerizable group at the end of hydrophoibic part and their stability is investigated.
