NASICON(Natrium Super Ionic Conductor)-type compounds is of interest for application as a solid electrolyte material for batteries and sensors because of the high ionic conductivity. Mg doped NASICON type compound with the formula, Na3Zr2-yMgySi2P1O12 (y = 0.2 ~ 0.8), was synthesized by typical ceramic route. The samples were calcined 2h in the temperature range 950 ~ 1050 ℃. Each powder were pressed into a pellet of 15 mm in diameter under 100 bar and sintered at 1210 ~ 1250 ℃ with 2h. The samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM and ionic conductivity analysis. |
