In this study, we present crosslinked sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) with diamine-functionlized monomers - 4,4`-diaminodiphenylether and 4,4`-diaminodiphenylmethane for application in ionic polymer-metal composite (IPMC) actuator. The prepared membrane was characterized by SEM, 2-probe impedence, DSC, and FT-IR to assure its crosslinking. The resulting data confirmed its possibility of ion exchange membrane for IPMC. Furthermore, we demonstrated the actuation performance of the fabricated IPMCs from crosslinked SPEEK membranes, which exhibited enhanced actuation performance compared to commercial Nafion. |
