제목 Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (POSS) Functionalized with Perfluoropolymer
초록 Perfluoropolymer-functionalized POSS was synthesized through thiol-lactam initiated radical polymerization (TLIRP). TLIRP was conducted using a two-component initiation system consisting of thiol-functionalized POSS (POSS-SH) and butyrolactam (BL). POSS-SH was firstly synthesized from (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane. We have synthesized a copolymer with three different monomers, methyl methacrylate, styrene, and heptadecafluorodecyl methacrylate. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra (1H and 29Si) of the POSS-perfluoropolymer showed that its structure is well-defined. The POSS-perfluoropolymer was coated on surface of reinforced glasses and contact angles of water and oil (hexadecane) on the coated glass were up to 117 and 74 degrees, respectively. Molecular weights were obtained by gel permeation chromatography (GPC).
