Riboflavin which is an anti-oxidizing water soluble drug has some drawbacks for a commercial purpose: difficult to separate, easy to be decomposed by the sunlight especially in the water phase. In this work, W/O/W encapsulation method was introduced to stabilize riboflavin from the environmental harmful factors. In addition, copolymers of 2-(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) with methyl methacrylate (MMA) were prepared by suspension polymerization to incorporate the cationic-moiety to the polymer wall. Copolymers were confirmed by C-NMR. The shape and morphology of microcapsules ,which were altered using the contents of amine, were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), optical microscope(OM) and confocal laser scattering microscope(CLSM). Loading efficiency of riboflavin was measured utilizing UV-vis. |
