Polymer light-emitting diodes are one of attractive flat panel devices in the future. To improve their properties, polymer blending has been tried to be investigated because of efficient exciton confinement in bilayer device structure. However, emissive layer with polymer blends could be phase-separated to reduce the contact area between the emissive polymer and cathode. In this study, electroluminescence (EL) properties of Poly(N-vinylcarbazole) and Polyfluorene blends are studied by modifying device structure. EL properties are most improved when phase-separated polymer blends are located at the center of organic layer. |
