제목 Biodiesel Production Process Using Direct-transesterification Method
초록 World crude oil reserve is becoming depleted and it was reported that petro-oil production will be sharply decreased after 2020, however, more than half of worldwide energy consumption still depends on petroleum and natural gas. One of the most promising solutions for global energy problems is renewable energy, among them biodiesel is one of the best alternatives of petro fuel and microalgae are potentially powerful source to produce lipid, the raw material of biodiesel. Generally, biodiesel process consists of two steps : lipid extracting from biomass and transesterification from extracted lipid to biodiesel. Direct-transesterification process has advantage in unit operations. This is a report on the direct transesterification from whole cell of D.tertiolecta without seperate lipid extraction step. The biodiesel was successfully produced from whole cell D.tertiolecta by direct transesterification and 99.2% of yield was obtained.
