Synthesis of dibenzothiophene type based bipolar host materials for high efficiency and long lifetime in blue delayed fluorescent organic light-emitting diodes |

In this work, Dibenzothiophene based host materials with 9H-carbazole, 9H-carbazole-3-carbonitrile and 9-phenylcarbazole moieties were synthesized for high quantum efficiency and elongated lifetime in blue thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) organic light-emitting diodes. The three host materials have one or two CN modified carbazole units for improved electron transport property. These host materials showed low driving voltage, high quantum efficiency and long lifetime by using the carbarzole and CN modified carbazole units. The maximum external quantum efficiency was 15.7 % and bond dissociation energy(BDE) of DBTCzCzCN host material has higher than mCBP in negative polaron state. |
