제목 | Foaming characteristics and mechanical properties of PBAS/TPS blends. |
초록 | In recent years, the utility of biodegradable polymers has increased due to their impact upon the complex issue of plastics waste management. Aliphatic polyesters are one of the most promising structural materials for biodegradable or compostable filler, films, sheets, bottles, injection-molded products, and foamed sheet. The blending of thermoplastic starch (TPS) with other biodegradable polyesters such as polybutylene adipate-co-succinate (PBAS) could be an interesting way to produce new biodegradable materials. The blend of PBAS/TPS allowed us to overcome the weaknesses of pure thermoplastic starch: low mechanical properties, high moisture sensitivity, and to increase biodegradable. In this study, A large range of blends is analysed with different plasticizer and TPS concentrations. From the behaviour of each polymeric system, it is possible to analyse of relationship properties of each component proportion on the blends. and we investigated foaming characteristics of PBAS/TPS blends. PBAS/TPS foams were prepared using a chemical blowing agent and DCP. The effect of different plasticizer and PBAS concentrations was investigated. Different compositions of thermoplastic starch (TPS) and polybutylene adipate-co-succinate (PBAS) are melt blended by plasticoder. Different properties are determined: mechanical properties, thermal and thermomechanical properties and hydrophobicity and viscoelastic properties. PBAS increases the modulus of PBAS/TPS blends. |
