Metal Nano-pattern by Capillary Force Lithography and Enhanced Fluorescence Detection from Localized Surface Plasmon Effect |

The metal nanostructures or nanopatterns have attracted great attention in surface enhanced spectroscopies and optical devices due to the enhancement ability in the local electromagnetic field caused by Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR). Notably, it has been reported that enhanced electromagnetic field can amplify nearby dye-molecule emission. This phenomenon has possibility for practical use in ultra-sensitive biosensor based on metal-enhanced fluorescence (MEF). In this study, we successfully fabricated the metal nanopatterns by using silver and platinum, with large area (2.7x2.7mm2) generated by capillary force lithography (CFL). Capillary force lithography which is soft lithography method by self-assembled polymer mask can produce the large-area metal nano-pattern for high-technology in optical application. |
