Dffects of multiwalled carbon nanotubes on physical properties of various matrix polymers |
초록 |
Multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) may be empolyed for polymeric nanocomposites due to excellent mechanical properties and electrical conductivity. It is generally known that the properties of MWCNT-based nanocomposites are affected by the dispersion states of MWCNTs in the matrix polymers. We prepared nanocomposites based on MWCNT and different polymer matrix and determined critical conditions for threshold increase of electrical conductivities due to percolations. We also characterized the mechanical properties of the nanocomposites. We found that the mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation at break of the nanocomposites show the largest improvement at the critical conditions for the threshold increase of electrical conductivities due to percolations. |
