Using the concept of stable layer-by-layer assembly, used until now for the elaboration of films from polymers or organosilicate, we have constructed hybridized surfaces by alternating different layers of silica nanoparticles and silsesquioxane. In this report, we present a simple and inexpensive approach for fabricating stable superhydrophobic nanofilms at extreme environments. Transparent superhydrophobic nanofilms with silsesquioxane & SiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by assembling multilayers and subsequent coating of a (fluoroalkyl)silane which has high mechanical stability. FT-IR, SEM and UV-VIS measurements were used for multilayer fabrication. In addition for the hydrophobicity & mechanical stability characterization nanofilm were analyzed by contact angle measurement and Nanoindentation. |
