Heterostructure Formation of Polyaniline/ZnO Nanoparticulate Thin Film using Electrophoretic Deposition Technique |

A p-n heterostructure diode was fabricated by the electrophoretic deposition of PANI on ZnO nanoparticulate thin film coated on fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) glass. By the structural studies, PANI/ZnO showed the reasonable penetration, bonding and the substantive interaction of PANI molecules with ZnO nanoparticulate thin film substrates. The prominent blue shift in the UV-Vis spectra confirmed the internalization of PANI with ZnO nanoparticles in PANI/ZnO nanoparticulate thin film. The I-V characteristics of PANI/ZnO heterostructure was carried out in the forward and the reverse biased at applied voltage ranges from -1 V to +1 V with a scan rate of 2 mV/s. The I-V characteristics showed rectifying behavior with non-linear nature of I-V curve of PANI/ZnO heterostructure device. |
