제목 In-Situ Ligand Exchange (ISLE)-induced Layer-by-Layer Assembly for Hydrophobic Nanoparticle Multilayers
초록 We introduce a robust and simplified method for build-up organic/inorganic nanocomposite films based hydrophobic nanoparticles. These multilayers were prepared using an in situ ligand exchange (ISLE)-induced layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly approach in organic media that did not require additional surface modification of the nanoparticles (NPs). The applicability of this strategy to a variety of hydrophobic metal and transition metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) was demonstrated. The multilayer-coated planar/colloidal substrates thus formed provided a high nanoparticle packing density of approximately 60%. The resulting nanocomposite multilayers were also found to be stable in aqueous and organic media. This approach is applicable to the design of nonvolatile memory, energy harvesting, energy storage, and petrochemical catalysis devices.
