Recent Development in Environment-friendly Papermaking Technologies : From Machinery Supplier's Viewpoint |

The latest ten years brought a slim growth in P&B demand in the industrial world although Chinese demand has grown fast. The Western mills have been and are now focusing on cost reductions to be able to maintain some profitability. Energy and raw materials have become expensive - although very recently, probably temporarily, their prices have declined. The machinery suppliers have carried out a lot of invisible work in their laboratories to find ways to solve cost reduction challenges of their customers. This recent technology development may possibly benefit the Korean customers even more, where energy cost is high, water scarcity and environmental challenges are severe. |
