제목 | Recyclable 2-Dimensional Colloid Surfactants with High Catalytic Activities at Pickering Emulsion Interfaces |
초록 | Thisstudy introduces a novel 2D colloid surfactant system that exhibits catalyticactivity at the interface of a reactant-containing water-in-oil Pickeringemulsion microreactor. To this end, amphiphilic nanoplatelets (ANPLs) arefabricated by electron transfer atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ARGETATRP) on zirconium hydrogen phosphate (ZrHP) nanoplatelets. Subsequently, insitu reduction of metal precursors on the primary amine reaction sites on thehydrophilic face of ANPLs is conducted, thus enabling the production of ANPLcatalysts (ANPLcat). Owing to the platelet geometry and catalyticfunctionalization, the ANPLcat demonstrates excellent ability to stabilize thePickering emulsion reactant drops, while exhibiting its own catalytic activityat the interface. These results highlight that the ANPLcat-based emulsionmicroreactor system is expected to be widely applied as a high-performancecatalyst for various organic chemical reactions. |
