제목 A peptidyl fluorescent chemosensor for selective detection of Hg(II) in aqueous solutions based on fluorescence quenching by tryptophan
초록 This fluorescent chemosensor designed for detecting Hg(II) in aqueous solutions based on the fluorescence quenching process. The sensor includes tryptophan that has unique function as a ligand as well as a quencher for recognition and fluorescent change by a metal binding event. The fluorescent change is occurred by photoinduced electron transfer (PET) process. ABD-W showed sensitive and selective fluorescent turn-on response to Hg(II) among several metal ions. The binding mode of sensor with Hg(II) ions was proposed on the basis of the results of pH titration experiment, and ESI-mass spectrometry. We are planning to further study about this ABD-W sensor.
