Dual Targeting pH/NIR-absorbing Fluorescent Polydopamine Crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid for Chemo-phototherapy |

This research investigated the efficacy of therapeutic platform based on a stimulus agent and dual targeting nanocarrier for a photothermal-guided bioimaging and chemotherapeutic treatment. The inclusion complex formed from conjugation of hyaluronic acid (HA), triphenylphosphonium (TPP) and β-cyclodextrin (CD)–diol linked boronic acid (BA) for loading of paclitaxel (PTX) created a shell-like structure based on a carbonized fluorescent polydopamine nanoparticles (FNPs-pDA) core, which can combine bioimaging with photothermal effect. The core@shells nanocarriers of [FNPs-pDA@HA-TPP-CD-PTX] that can both extracellularly targeting via HA- and intracellularly targeting via TPP, creating a dual targeting system. The nanoparticle was development from the cross-linked of FNPs-pDA with the boronic acid groups of HA-TPP-CD-PTX that will enhance the boronate esters formation which will be utilized as pH-mediated photothermal activity. |
