제목 Innovative sPEEK Nanocomposites by Nanoparticles  with External Protons and Controlled Nanochannel
초록 Sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) [sPEEK] with 60% degree of sulfonation (DS) has a proton conductivity of 0.06 S/cm at 80 °C/100% RH. As DS of sPEEK increased, the proton conductivity also increased. However, sPEEK with high DS consequently is accompanied by excessive water swelling and therefore it is needed to improve proton conductivity without mechanical degradation. We aimed to control the nanochannel of sPEEK nanocomposites membrane by using polyhedral oligosilsequioxane functionalized with sulfonic acid (POSS-SA). Proton conductivity of nanocomposites membrane increased up to 0.1 S/cm at 80 oC/100% RH because POSS-SA increased the nanochaanel and offered additional proton source. This is in good agreement with the results of Small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and IEC of nanocomposites.
