제목 Towards High Performance Advanced Energy Storage Devices: Design of Surface-functionalized Polyolefin Separator
초록 Lithium (Li) metal is considered as a future anode due to its electrochemically beneficial features. However, Li anode has suffered from a number of issues when it is implemented in the practical cell, mainly due to the safety risk. In order to address the above-mentioned challenges, we‘ve fabricated multifunctional membranes by using a variety of functional materials via tape-casting method. The separator-coating materials can be classified into six categories in terms of material properties. Each has shown different electrochemical properties when tested in the Li|Cu cells. Through the approach of altering the surface chemistry of separators, we’ve achieved excellent electrochemical performances of Li-metal based batteries. In this talk, we’re going to talk about the recent trend and research direction of functional separators.
