The Synthesis of Ammonium Thiosulfate and Sulfur by Selective Oxidation of Hydrogen Sulfide over Nb-Fe Mixed Oxide Catalysts |
초록 |
Iron niobate catalysts have been studied for the selective oxidation of H2S to elemental sulfur and ammonium thiosulfate. This study discussed the selective catalytic oxidation of H2S in the presence of excess water and ammonia using Nb-Fe mixed oxide catalysts. Hydrogen sulfide was successfully converted to the mixture of elemental sulfur and ammonium thiosulfate without considerable sulfur dioxide emission. This work offers a method to convert air pollutant H2S that released from coke oven in steel production process into usable product. The active phase of the activated iron niobate catalysts was identified to be by using XRD, XPS and temperature programmed techniques (TPR and TPO). |
