제목 Synthesis and Characterization of hybrid polyethylene glycol containing POSS units via Radical polymerization
초록 Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSSs) have been widely regarded as one of the promising and emerging nanoparticles in the field of organic-inorganic materials. Recently, various POSS with the caged-structure were synthesized by the hydrolysis and condensation reaction of silane compounds. In this study, 3-acryloxypropyl trichlorosilane was used to make polymerizable POSS with double bond via corner capping reaction. And, the hybrid copolymer was fabricated by the radical polymerization of POSS monomer and Poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate. In addition, we also discuss unique characteristics and properties of hybrid polymer confirmed by 1H-NMR, TGA, DSC, SEM and EDX.
