제목 Interfacial Polymerization of Different Inorganic Precursors on the Surface of Vesicles and Oil Drops in Water: An Investigation Using Micromanipulator
초록 We have reported interfacial sol-gel polymerization of a few different inorganic precursors. Even though sol-gel polymerization has been investigated intensively, mechanisms for the polymerization of water soluble precursors especially on interfaces are hardly found in literatures. In our continuing efforts to reveal mechanisms for interfacial reactions and develop applications for such spontaneous interfacial polymerization, we employed micro-manipulating systems to control and observe reactions that take place on the surface of vesicles and oil drops. In this study, oil drops and vesicles were prepared and individual drops were manipulated. It was attempted to observe reaction and develop more quantitative methods to evaluate properties of oil drop and vesicles coated with different materials such as silica, alumina, and titania.
