The Effects of Acidifiers on Raloxifene Solid Dispersion |

Raloxifene HCl, a selective estrogen receptor modulator and to be used for prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal woman, has insoluble property. So, Raloxifene has low bioavaillaty. To overcome this weakness, we prepared raloxifene HCl solid dispersion using several acidifiers through spray dryer. DSC was used to analyze the crystallnity of solid dispersion through glass transition temperature of raloxifene HCl, PVP, acidifiers and solid dispersion. XRD was used to analyze the crystallinity of solid dispersion and ingredients. FT-IR was used to analyze structure of solid dispersion between raloxifene HCl and acidifiers. The in vitro test was carried out to find character of dissolution of raloxifene solid dispersion in gastric juice. The in vitro test found release behavior of raloxifene solid dispersion. These results showed that release behaviors can be effectively controlled by the preparation parameters. This research was supported by WCU (R31-20029). |
