Study of Cd free Indium Hydroxy Sulfide In2(OH)S3 buffer layer for kesterite thin film solar cells |
초록 |
Indium hydroxy sulfide Inx(OH,S)y buffer layer has deposited via Chemical Bath Deposition method for CZTSSe based solar cells. The motivation of searching alternatives for this "standard CdS" buffer layer is not only to eliminate the toxic cadmium but also to improve the light transmission in the blue wavelength region by using a material with a wider bandgap compared to CdS. In this work, the amount of oxygen is monitored by controlling chemical bath deposition parameter. Upon annealing after buffer layer deposition, improvement in the initial solar cell characteristics is observed. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements shows presence of OH in the buffer layer. UV-Vis spectroscopy shows that band gap is increased with amount of oxygen in the buffer layer. C-V measurements indicate the narrower space charge widths and higher effective carrier concentrations in the absorber materials. The efficiency of 7.44 is achieved for the best performing device. |
