제목 On the synthesis of Cu-impregnated self-pillared pentasil zeolite and the effect of its physical/chemical properties on cold-start test​
초록 A Cu-loadedself-pillared pentasil structured MFI zeolite synthesized in various SiO2/Al2O3ratios and mesoporosities by changing the amount of ethanol in the synthesissolution. The resulting Cu-impregnated SPPs could act as adsorbent to hydrocarbonsin the exit gas stream under water vapor including condition, and activeoxidizer of HCs. Among the synthesized HC traps, the sample with an Si/Al ratioof ∼20 and medium mesoporosity exhibited the mosthigh performance in cold-start tests; adsorbing propene and toluene even in thepresence of 10 vol% of water vapor condition, holding them up to highertemperatures. However, after hydrothermal treatment test, the structure ofCu-impregnated SPPs were transformed into another amorphous phase and undesiredmaterials thus losing its adsorption capacity. Nevertheless, the hydrothermallytreated samples still could act as oxidizer indicating that CuO particles werewell maintained.
