제목 Microencapsulation of diisocyanate for use in self-healing material
초록 The object of this study is to develop self-healing microcapsules containing diisocyanate and apply to self-healing coating material. Diisocyanates are potential healing agents in humid and wet conditions. Microencapsulations of isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) were conducted via interfacial polymerization of polyurethane (PU) as a shell material. The PU shell formed via the reaction between the NCO and OH groups. The formation of microcapsules was conformed by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The size, size distribution, morphology and shell wall thickness of microcapsule were observed by Optical microscopy and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
