Poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(acrylic acid)/polyaniline/multi-walled carbon nanotube (PVA/PAAc/PANi/MWCNT) hybrid hydrogel was synthesized by radical and in-situ polymerization method. To improve the conductivity of the hybrid hydrogel, conductive additives like polyaniline and MWCNTs were used. The formation of PVA/PAAc/PANi/MWCNT hybrid hydrogel was characterization by UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction analyses. The surface morphology of hybrid hydrogel film was studied by FESEM. Electrical conductivity of the hybrid hydrogel film was measured by four-probe method. Both the bending rate and the bending angle of hybrid hydrogels increased with adding PANi and MWCNT and applying voltage. The hybrid hydrogel showed both good reversibility and fast response in the electrhemical actuator behavior. |
