Characterization of Conducive polyaniline synthesized in presence of [2,2azobis{2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl)propane} dihydrochloride] (VA-044) |

VA-044 [2,2’-azobis{2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl)propane}dihydrochloride] initiated conductive polyaniline in acidic aqueous medium using support polymer (polyvinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) has been synthesized by chemical polymerization. Well dispersing and long time durable PANi without particles aggregation was characterized by UV-VIS spectroscopy. The UV-VIS broad bands of PANi salt at about 350 nm and 800 nm indicate the presence of benzoid and quinoid rings in emeraldine salt. On dedoping process by base, the bands at 331 and 580 nm indicate the formation of emeraldine base. |
