제목 Synthesis and electrorheological properties of polyaniline and polypyrrole copolymers
초록
We synthesized polyaniline and polypyrrole copolymers with three different molar ratios of aniline (AN) and pyrrole (PY) monomer using chemical oxidation polymerization (COPAPP 2:8, 5:5, 8:2). Its chemical structure and physical properties were studied via an FR-IR, TGA, XPS and SEM analysis. The dc conductivity for copolymers were ranged from 10-1 to 10-8S/cm at the room temperature depending on their molar ratio. Temperature dependence of copolymer at certain molar ratio explained the change of polymer structure using the VRH model and 2D dimensional structure was proposed. In addition, electrorheological (ER) fluids were prepared by dispersing the copolymer particles in a silicone oil. ER properties, such as static yield strength and shear stress, were investigated by rotational rheometer under various dc electric fields.
