Polypyrrole(PPy) which is the most stable after doing is one of the most attractive conductive polymers because of its good environmental stability and relatively high electrical conductivity. Conductive polymer(CP) actuator has been intensively studied due to large displacement at low voltage and their potential applications. The source of its bending actuation is the volume changes that take place during their electrochemical oxidation/reduction process. In order to increase the thickness of CP and improve the interfacial adhesion between insulating layer and CP layer, this work would rather use in- suit polymerization than utilize electropolymerization. In this work, PPy/sulfonated PVDF-g-PS actuator is fabricated by radiation grafting and sulfonation. The properties of prepared membrane and actuator were characterized by EDS, FT-IR, FE-SEM and laser displacement meter. |
