제목 | Preparation and Characterization of Polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD)/Silicates Hybrids by in-situ Polymerization of DCPD : Thermal and Gas Barrier Property |
초록 | Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) is one of the cycloolefin materials that was synthesized in-situ ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP). Tungsten hexachloride (WCl6) was used as the ROMP catalyst in our experiment. In present study, we employed wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) to get crystal form derived from three kinds of DCPD/silicates hybrids, which are DCPD/Na+-mmt, DCPD/Illite, and DCPD/Clorite. We prepared DCPD/silicates hybrids by sonication method with loading silicate level is (0.5~5wt%). Also Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to examine the degree of dispersion for silicates in DCPD matrix. We show that the oxygen permeability in DCPD/silicates hybrids related with their inorganic volume fraction, aspect ratios, and orientation of scattered silicates. Finally we expect that the DCPD/silicates hybrids have a excellent thermal stability and mechanical properties. Fig. 1. XRD patterns of PDCPD/silicates hybrids |
