Electrochemical double layer capacitors (EDLCs) are promising energy storage devices in which the charge storage ideally occurs by way of electrostatic forces at the electrode/electrolyte interface. Thus, it is important to select the proper electrolyte and many studies have been performed on the optimization of the EDLCs electrolyte component. In this paper, we carried out experiment to prepare the adiponitrile (ADN) which has broad operative voltage and stable cycle characteristics and the ethylene carbonate (EC) as main electrolyte. In order to evaluate the maximum operative voltage and capacitance of the mixture electrolyte, cyclic voltammetry (CV) was carried out at 10 mVs-1 in a three electrode systems. Also, the resistance of electrolyte and electrode resistance were evaluated by AC impedance spectroscopy over the frequency range from 100 kHz to 0.01 Hz. The ionic conductivity and capacitance of mixture electrolyts were measured and studied. |
