This study investigated the influence of Zr chloride promotion over Co/SiO2 and Co/γ-Al2O3. The catalysts were prepared with various loading ratios of Zr chloride (up to 20wt% over 100% support) by slurry-impregnation method. BET, XRD, XPS, TPR, H2-chemisorption and oxygen titration thechnics were used for the characterization of the catalysts. The catalytic performance was evaluated in a fixed bed reactor under H2/CO=2, at 230℃ and 20 bar for FischerTropsch synthesis (FTS). The activity and selectivity toward higher hydrocarbons of the promoted catalysts increased with increasing zirconium loading amount. |
