제목 A Facile Route for One-Step Synthesis of Luminescent Core/Shell Poly(styrene/thiophene) Nanoparticles
초록 Core/shell luminescent poly(styrene/thiophene) (poly(St/Th)) nanoparticles were prepared by one-step emulsion process. In this work, the polystyrene (PSt) core and polythiophene (PTh) shell were formed by radical and oxidative polymerization in activated micelles, respectively. The core/shell morphology resulted from interfacial-activated polymerization of the thiophene monomers. The formation of PTh shell layer arose from the electrostatic interaction between sulfate (SO4-) groups of the anionic surfactant and Fe3+ ions. It was confirmed that the rate of Fe3+-catalyzed oxidative polymerization is faster than the rate of free radical polymerization.
