Magnesium and strontium are trace elements constituting the natural bone. In this study, we attempted to incorporate magnesium and strontium ions into the synthetic calcium phosphate crystal for the examination of the effect of magnesium and strontium on the osteoblast behavior. The properties of thin films were characterized with SEM and XPS. The cellular responses to the hybrid films with different concentrations of magnesium and strontium were examined by performing adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation assays. |
