In this work, we investigated the CO2 capture behaviors of chemical activated carbon aerogels by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. Carbon aerogel materials were prepared by sol-gel method from resorcinol. To improve the specific surface area and total pore volume of the prepared materials, the chemical activation process was applied with KOH agent at various temperatures. The properties of carbon materials were characterized by XRD, XPS and N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms. From obtaining results, it was found out that activation temperature had some effects on the specific surface area as well as total pore volume of these materials. |
