Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) has been widely known as an the organic ferroelectric material. It could be an ideal candidate for actuator or sensor owing to its piezo- and pyro- electricities. These properties depend on the nature of the crystal phase and the orientation of the materials. In this work, we prepared the non-woven membranes of PVDF nanofibers via electrospinning with the DMF/acetone solvent. And, the membrane was aligned with the mechanical extension method to induce orientation of the membrane. The orientation and crystallinity of the PVDF membrane was examined by XRD. FE-SEM was used to examine the morphology of the oriented electrospun membranes. Mechanical and thermal properties of the electrospun PVDF membrane were also characterized using UTM and TGA, respectively. |
