Poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA), polycaprolactone (PCL), and gelatin have been extensively investigated biocompatible polymer for various applications. We prepared antibiotics loaded biodegradable nanofibers scaffolds by using electrospinning. Electrospinning method is a well-known for obtaining polymer fibers with diameters as low as a few nano/micrometers and length in the range of several centimeters. Antibiotics with PCL or PLGA is emulsified or dissolved in gelatin solutions which are injected using singe needle by high voltage. Diameters of fibers could be controlled by various voltages, solution flow rates and weight percent. Morphologies and diameters of fibers are confirmed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). We make a observation release behavior of antibiotics and biodegradation times of fibers in phosphate buffer saline (PBS) at 37 ℃. |
