제목 | Preparations of Photovoltaic properties of blends of Poly(3-thiopheneacetic acid) and Poly(3-alkylthiophene)s for Polymer Electrolytes on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |
초록 | Polythiophene derivatives are attractive materials because of their solubility, processability, environmental stability, excellent electrical conductivity, and electroluminescent property. We synthesized the poly(3-thiopheneacetic acid) (P3TA) having the carboxylic acid group, poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT), and poly(3-dodecylthiophene) (P3DT). P3TA was synthesized from 3-thiopheneacetic acid monomer with anhydrous FeCl3 in CHCl3 at room temperature for 5 h under a flow of nitrogen. The reaction mixture was then poured into a large quantity of methanol and the black precipitate was collected by filtration. The resulting material was washed with methanoic hydrochloric acid (1M). It was collected and purified by soxhlet extraction with methanol, ether, and chloroform in turn and then dried in high vacuum. P3HT and P3DT were synthesized in the same reaction condition of above procedure. The value for absorption maximum peaks of synthesized P3TA (Mw=1.7*104, Tg=66.3℃), P3HT (Mw=3.3*104, Tg=144℃), and P3DT (Mw=1.8*104, Tg=47℃) were observed at 448, 458, and 452 nm, respectively. Dye-sensitized solar cell devices were fabricated with Ruthenium(II) complex dye (N3 dye) as a photosensitizer, and the polymer electrolyte between Pt electrode and nanoporous TiO2 electrode. The polymer electrolyte was composed of tetrabutylammonium iodide/I2 and blends of P3TA/P3HT (or P3TA/P3DT) as a matrix in acetonitrile. In addition, their photovoltaic properties were investigated by Solar Simulator. |
