제목 Prepartion and characterization of thermo-sensitivepoly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N-vinylcaprolactam) hydrogel
초록 Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) and its copolymers have been widely investigated in the fields of drug-delivery systems, diagnostics, bioreactors, cell culture and bioseparations. The lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of PNIPAAm is 32℃. Poly(N-vinylcaprolactam) (PNVCL) stands out based on the fact that it is not only nonionic, water soluble, nontoxic and thermo-sensitive but also biocompatible. The LCST of PNVCL is in the range of physiological temperature (32-34℃). In this study, temperature-sensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N-vinyl- caprolactam) was prepared by g-radiation polymerization. The effects of radiation dose and monomer concentration on polymerization and the LCST characteristics of polymer were studied.
