We designed a conjugated polymer with an alternating sequence of the appropriate donor/acceptor units in the main chain. For the electron accepting unit, we selected the thiazolothiazole unit having electron withdrawing property. So we synthesized fluorene copolymer having thiazolothiazole unit in the main chain by Pd catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction. Number average molecular weight of the copolymer was 26,000 and their PDI was 2.63. And the polymer showed absorption maxima at 455 nm. In PL, the emission maxima of copolymer was 579 nm. Optical band gap of the polymer was calculated to be 2.34 eV. |
