Synthesis and Characterization of Polyaniline/Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube Composites |

Doped polyanilines(PANI) were synthesized with carboxylic groups containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes(c-MWNT) via in situ polymerization. The thermalgravimetric analyses showed that the thermal stability of the PANI was improvement in the composites. FT-IR spectra indicated that carboxylic acid groups formed at both ends and on the side walls of the MWNTs. Structural analyses using SEM and TEM showed that doped PANI/c-MWNT composites were core(c-MWNT)-shell(PANI) tubular structures. The conductivities of these PANI/c-MWNT composites were higher than those of PANI without MWNT. |
