The most important role of membrane ionselective permeability. Because Vanadium Redox Flow Battery's(VRFB) electrolyte use active material mixing vanadium and strong acid, VRFB require excellent acid resistance and oxidation resistance. Pretreatment Nafion-117/Nafion-324/SELEMION APS/AMX A-0566/GEFC-107 of the membrane with 3% hydrogen peroxide, 0.5M sulfuric acid. First, measured ionic conductivity to confirm ionselective permeability. Then measured the coulombic efficiency (CE), voltage efficiency (VE), energy efficiency (EE) through single cell charge-discharge testing to check performance of membranes. So we select nafion-117 as suitable membrane of VRFB. |
