We have developed novel inert and stable Ln(III)-cored complexes based on metalloporphyrin derivatives for photonic applications. To maximize the optical amplification efficiency, we have investigated the molecular design and synthesis of the Ln(III)-cored supramolecular complexes based on dendritic metalloporphyrin derivatives with artificial antenna effect. Also, for getting a higher optical amplification gain, we have introduced the Fréchet aryl ether-typed dendrimer systems (G0G3) into them. Surprisingly, we have found that the site-isolation effect is superior to the light-harvesting effects in the dendritic Er(III)-cored complexes. All dendritic Er(III)-cored complexes show the strong near-IR emission than the non-dendritic Er(III)-cored complex due to site isolation effect. In this presentation, the synthesis and photophysical studies of Ln(III)-cored complexes based on dendritic metalloporphyrins will be discussed. |
