Synthesis of Poly(9,9’-spirobifluorene-2,7-vinylene)-Derivatives by Gilch Polymerization |
초록 |
Fluorene-based light-emitting polymers tend to form aggregates or excimers during the device operation due to the rigid and planar biphenyl units. In order to solve this problem, we introduced a more bulkier substitutent, spirofluorene in carbon 9 position of fluorene. Poly(9,9’-spirobifluorene-2,7-vinylene) was synthesized by dehydrohalogenation method. The resulting polymer was completely soluble in toluene and partially soluble in most of organic solvents. The thermal and optical properties of poly(9,9’-spirobifluorene-2,7-vinylene) were investigated with poly(9,9’-dioctylfluorene-2,7-vinylene) for comparison. Details of EL characteristics of this polymer will be discussed. |
