제목 Microbial decolorization of anaerobic condition
초록 Azo dyes are the most important group of synthetic colorants and the oldest industrially synthesized organic compounds. they are visible in small quantities due to their brilliance. thus, color is one of the most obvious indicators of water pollution. the treatment of azo dye(textile) waste water is commonly carried out using biological and physico-chemical methods.
However, microbial decolorization and degradation of dye is seen as a cost-effective method for removing these pollutants from environment. but, the most attractive feature of anaerobic condition for the degradation is the decolorization of many dyes.
An anaerobic pre-treatment step could be a cheap alternative compared with aerobic systems as expensive aeration is omitted and problems with bulking sludge are avoided.
We report on decolorization of a dye(reactive black 5) under anaerobic condition.
